"In April there was a water main break outside of my house, the water main quickly flooded the pool in the house my family currently lives in. From there it leaked into our basement, which quickly flooded with water. In the basement we had a water detector which did not work when the water flooded in. There was a bedroom in the basement where I myself was sleeping. And on the floor was a CyberPower CP685 AVR battery backup which powered about $3,000 worth of computer equipment at the time((Which was all on a 3 inch platform)). The water quickly rose to about an inch((Which is a lot in a 2200 square foot basement)), the unit stopped feeding power to the computer equipment, started beeping fairly rapidly, with the fan still operating and making a fairly loud noise because of the water, this quickly awoke me and I was able to disconnect the battery backup and move literally every piece of computer equipment out of the room. This product saved an over $3000 investment, and possibly saved my life. It was the best $80 I ever spent in my entire life. I was able to save 4 computers because of this equipment. At the moment the battery backup useless because of the water damage and I have yet to replace it. But I know that when I buy the next one, for sure it will be a CyberPower battery backup unit"
That was roughly the email that I sent to CyberPower after my house flooded in 2008(?), within a couple of days I got a shipping label from them, they offered to replace my unit free of charge. Amazing product, Amazing company.
