This expansion pack is loaded with options to make the original Splendor game even more fun and allows you to choose how complex you want the game to be. Our family loves the Cities expansion because it doesn't add too much complexity, and is easier than just playing with the nobles. We found playing with the market cards (the red ones) it's easy to become distracted and focus on the wrong thing ... ie, collecting red cards, instead of moving toward the end goal of collecting gems and winning the game! Great addition if you really like the original game but are looking for a little more strategy.
