After looking at so many kits, I mistakenly thought that there would be some organizational system (compartments) included in this kit. If you want to be able to see all of your supplies and find them easily, you’ll want a different kit. The first picture I posted is how the kit arrives - all supplies piled atop each other. There is a single shelf/separator.

I purchased this for a small wood/workshop and opted for it over others based on the contents. It’s the right size for the job and the included supplies are suitable (though it needs some supplements). The tweezers and scissors are decent and passable quality (both are metal with reasonable utility for the price), but some items aren’t labeled (tourniquet, CPR mask) so if someone isn’t familiar with supplies, they won’t find them). The “first aid guide”is interesting but probably not very helpful based on the contents in this kit. Finally, the “mountable” option is 2 hanging holes on the foldable (not hinged) handle that will eventually split. For the workshop, I glued a cleat on the back and will hang it that way while the box Is in use.

All that said, digging through a bunch of plastic baggies with a bloody finger seems frustrating so it looks like another job - a first aid box with compartments - can be added to the list of “shop organization builds.”

I think the cost of these kits is primarily attributed to the CONTAINMENT of smaller quantities of multiple necessary but consumable supplies. One hopes for organized containment for a reasonable price, but I suppose this is how we gradually set the bar lower and lower over time. 🙂
