Ive had mine for over 2 years now and really bought a new filter because mine has been so caked with calcium in the water, which is a pretty big problem Ive encountered with other filters Ive tried. As someone who has been temporarily living outside the US for over 6 years now I can say this is the best (if you can afford those fancy carbon molecular etc etc filters) large filter for those who drink lots of water. Admittedly I do boil my water, let it cool then filter it because in the past, especially in a humid problem, there has been some mold issue within the water compartment (not inside the filter thank goodness) but have had that problem since moving to a different home AND keeping it away from directly sunlight. I genuinely can tell the difference between this water and tap (in the country I live in) AND dont randomly chock on a piece of calcium plaque. Super easy to install. Def replace after 1 year!
