Not all sunbeam products are made alike but they seem to have pinned down a good recipe with their heating pads. This particular iteration is one of my favorites for the following reasons
1. You can disable the 2-hour shut off.
2. The display is subtle and not overpowering at night.
3. The buttons are easy to press and fine without seeing them.
4. Consistent heat throughout even over time.
There are a few cons
1. It's easy to get the cord twisted and mangled over time
2. The power cord can detach from the actual heating pad during sleep, which causes it to throw an error code and then you have to completely reset the unit. You have to unplug the main plug then reattach the main plug to the heating pad, then you have to plug it back up. This is a big pain in the middle of the night whenever the power cord easily detaches from the heating pad. I wish they would bring back the locking mechanisms on the power cord so that that didn't persist to be a problem.
