I was going to return this but found that there's nothing with an adjustable head in this price range, and when I learned about clipping it on one's waist to point forward, I was sold. Also the magnet combined with adjustable head angle means you can mount it on something metal nearby and have it pointing right at what you're looking at, no matter the angle. This is really useful.

This uses a "soft" power button unlike most other inexpensive units where the power button will eventually fail and the light will become flickery; the design of this makes that impossible because the power switch just sends a signal to the control circuit.

There's no way it's as bright as claimed (in lumens), but it's quite bright for a single-AA flashlight. I'm not a fan of having to hold the button to turn it on, and would have liked the older discontinued model with immediate-on rather than having to hold the button for half a second. It still gets turned on in my pocket with this delay. Maybe they could allowing a special button press sequence to restore the old immediate-on functionality and remember that.

I was hit by the great Texas blackout of 2021 for more than three days and this flashlight was the best I had. It went through a few rechargeable AA batteries a day but it provided all the light for the kitchen, shower, etc. during this time. The most annoying aspect was it shutting off when bumped, due presumably to the battery spring compressing and momentarily disconnecting the battery. When sticking it to something metal the magnet tends to pull it quickly down which often turns the light off.

I couldn't get the light to straighten out fully despite using great force, so there are small sharp edges sticking out (see photo). Contacting support wasn't very fruitful even with this image, them saying it's normal. Looking up images of this light it seems to be a (minor) design flaw present in all of them, not just mine. I don't have much confidence in their warranty.
