On my aluminum bike I just guessed on install torque but with a new carbon bike I was not willing to risk it. Turns out I was mostly under tightening before which may be safer for components but has its own problems.
This torque wrench kit seems really well made and takes the guess work out of maintenance. It is easy to adjust and gives a good break indication at set torque. I don’t tighten anything on my bike now without using this puppy. Would highly recommend
