They're good at noise reduction. They're good at connecting to phone calls and music. They're not good at voice activated conversations. They delay is horrible and you can hear your own voice in the replay. If you're working in your wood shop and need some hearing protection and would like to be able to listen to music and answer a phone call if necessary...they're great. If you're working on a construction site and want to give instructions to equipment operators...they're dangerous. There is a work around by using them to make a phone call to the operator but just doesn't do it as a voice activated headset as advertised
