I intended to purchase through Apple until I saw this awesome deal. I have had two Apple SE watches before this purchase. My Apple Watch let me know of a possible heart arrhythmia issue. So, this is the main reason for my purchase. The watch helps keep me at the top of my game.

The biggest issue I have with this purchase is that Amazon doesn’t require a signature upon delivery. This is an issue when you live in a complex with nearly two hundred addresses, addressed as 34, 34A, 34B, etc.. we have lost hundreds of dollars on orders accidentally given to someone else. Several times we have to go “hunt” things down, knock on neighbors doors, to see if they received our orders. This is infuriating, to say the least. People in this world are not all honest. Sad but true. Amazon, you need to start requiring signatures on these kinds of purchases. If it is mis-delivered, it is marked as “DELIVERED”. It doesn’t matter if someone else receives your purchase, it was marked delivered. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had this placed into my husband’s hands, but no one checked to see if my husband was actually the correct recipient. This policy needs to change. FAST! Anything over $150.00 dollars deserves a signature and ID. I knew it was coming my way, and had to watch, with hawk eyes, and abated breath, to make sure it wasn’t delivered to the WRONG address. Thankfully, this time it was. But was shocked that no ID was asked for, on a purchase of this caliber. Read on to see review. I hope Amazon is listening.

This watch seems much more efficient than my previous SE’s. The battery on my last SE 2018, didn’t make it two years. Granted, I wore it 24 -7, except when charging. I’m finding the battery holds a charge a lot longer. I’m getting well over 24 hours on a charge. Last night I got 40 hours! I have disabled notifications, always on, and on when wrist is up. That is what my phone is for. Disabling these things works wonders with battery life, however you can not activate “double tap” with these things disabled. I’m not finding double tap that useful. I’m very acclimated to touching what I wish to view. There are very few, if anything in the double tap list that is useful to me. This feature clearly needs improvement, but I feel in the future it could be quite useful. The only thing it currently does is to open my “stack”. Which are things already viewable with a tap. The photo ability in double tap, would be nice, if I didn’t hold the camera in the hand the does the tapping, kind of useless for that, it would be the only useful thing to me, but it defeats it’s own purpose for that. That was a disappointment. Basically using double tap is something you need to retrain your brain to use, if you have already been using Apple Watches the conventional way. If you are new to this technology, and Apple Watch, you will love it.

This iWatch gives me a measure of safety. However, in the past I did fall several times, and fall detection did not work. It did, however set off emergency services numerous times while doing normal activities where my arms were moving fast up, and down, during exercise. Wow, off goes emergency alert. I find fall detection absolutely useless. I’m disabled and would really like this to work, but it can’t be depended on. I say this after a dozen false alarms, where I did not fall, and it went off, and three falls it did not detect at all. Fortunately, over the years I have learned to fall with the least amount of damage.

This watch is extremely accurate with activity. I use a walker 24 -7. It picks up all my activity, and very accurately at that. It measures sleep spot on. I did go into this knowing that the blood oxygen sensor is no longer a feature on this watch, due to a law suit involving Apple. So don’t count on reading your blood oxygen levels on this watch.

Apple Watch is a beautiful piece of technology. It excels in every category, in appearance, features, and build.

You can’t go wrong here. Excellent purchase. Will update at a future point. So far, perfect.
