I’ve been searching for a good case that retains/improves MagSafe functionality for my 13 Pro Max for a couple weeks. I’ve tried about 8 different cases and none can really meet all my criteria. This case’s MagSafe strength is basically identical to all of the Apple cases I’ve tried, and it actually feels very nice and grippy in the hand. Upon closer inspection, the fit and finish are really lackluster for a case that’s priced as direct competition for first-party accessories. You can see on the bottom corner where the “leather” meets the silicone it’s already bubbling, and doesn’t meet flush. The other main issue is the glossy black plastic around the camera. It’s a fingerprint MAGNET and shows any and all scuffing/wear immediately, unlike the rear of the case, making it extremely apparent immediately. The last issue, and this was the reason I returned it, was that the screen has absolutely no lip protecting it. With a tempered glass screen cover, it is basically perfectly flush with the case. If this fell face-down, there is NOTHING that will keep the screen off the ground. If you trust your screen protector that much, this is a pretty great case. Good looking (if you don’t inspect too closely), very thin, well built (in general). I’d say the Spigen Mag Armor is a better option, it just doesn’t look quite as interesting.
