The most important aspect of this product is that it stops working when there has been a significant surge event. I found out the hard way that some surge protectors continue working after these events and basically become power strips. This is an important feature especially when this product is placed where you can’t easily see it. Some brands do have lights that show you there has been a significant surge but if you’re putting them behind furniture you’ll never see that light. I have replaced all my Belkin products with this brand. They come in various sizes and models for different situations. My friend who is an electrical engineer and researches everything exhaustively chose this brand for his house.
