Customer Review

This charging station is quite attractive is has a solid build to it. There are 3 AC outlets, 2 of which are grounded, along with 2 USB ports, 1 being a USB-C. Something unique is the inclusion of a retractable USB-C cord that comes out of the bottom of the front. The cord extends out maybe 2 feet, which seems to be adequate for the user range of this "tower."

For what it does, the form factor does seem a bit large, as other devices from Baseus and competitors have small devices with similar features. Seems there is a lot of wasted space around the device, space that could offer additional AC or USB ports. Seems a lost opportunity for more features, though I have no idea what's going on inside the body.

Maybe part of the bulk inside is for the "smart" features. I did install the app just to see what all it could do. The device does connect to the home Wi-Fi and can be powered off-and-on via the app on your phone and via Alexa. I'm sure there are specific use cases where this would be a desirable feature, but I'll likely just use the power button.

Maybe the "smart" features are part of my main complaint for the device - it's cost. There are simply so many other devices like this on the market that either does more, has more ports, etc, and costs much less. For the price of this item, it should have more USB-C ports, maybe more power, maybe an LED light, an FM radio - something to help justify the cost. Maybe the "smart" aspects and the ability to control with the app is attractive enough to justify the cost and I'll be thinking about things to plug into this as I continue to use it.

Perhaps this device is ahead of its time.
