I started working night shift about 6 months ago and got this to help me sleep through the day in a noisy apartment. At first, it was the best thing in the world and I couldn’t stop recommending it to everyone. I would bring it with me no matter where I went: hotels, vacations, etc. The options were great at drowning out any frequency of sound that could wake me up. But ultimately about 4-5 months after daily use, it crapped out. It started with a ping pong ball bouncing noise and now sounds like something is rapidly blowing around inside the machine. No longer can I turn it loud enough to drown out the sounds I want. This is planned obsolescence at its finest. I would have used this until the end of time if the speaker had held up. Save your money and go for a white noise machine that makes sound by blowing air rather than digital sounds from a speaker designed to break after 6 months.
