I wanted something to keep important documents safe in case of a fire, and spent ages considering all kind of options for sale online. I learned a lot, particularly that most likely a fireproof bag won’t keep them safe forever, depending on the kind of fire, that they’d need to be in a fire safe also. I don’t have one so am only looking for something to prolong their life in a fire and to increase their chances of surviving or being rescued. I also realised that a bag that isn’t waterproof might be useless as the documents could be damaged by firefighting attempts. In the end I chose this product and I am very happy with it. It has impressive looking waterproof/water resistant zippers, can stand a high degree of heat, and seems very well made. It also has Velcro closures as well as the zippers and I like that extra protection. I also like it’s two pockets as I use one for smaller things like Passports and the other for full-size documents like vehicle titles. I haven’t tried to burn it, but as I said, it does seem sturdy and well made and I would definitely recommend it.
