Works well, green light isn't always long enough. Watch for steam to slow sown some too.Not as hot as my mom's 80 year old Sunbeam standard 4 waffle maker like Waffle House uses.This works well with hotel or Disney (Golden Malted) mixes too!Make sure your iron is level (I used a phone app to check) and use a batter thicker than used for pancakes. I make all kinds -- even sourdough (yeast waffles) easily with this appliance.Addendum: after making close to a hundred batches using several different scratch mixes or commercial store bought mixes I have notice the waffles don't come out evenly cooked -- dark in some areas and lighter in others. I am going to try my moms old Sunbeam 4 square waffle iron like those used at Waffle House for a comparison, because I don't remember seeing this issue when I was a kid. You can even see this effect in the picture if you look close; also it seems to be getting more obvious lately.Uneven heating or plates too thin -- I don't know?My fav Recipe, so far, for a plain eating waffle mix you use :3/4 cup flour1/4 cup of cornmeal muffin mix (Used Jiffy)1/2 - 1 tsp of aluminum free baking powder (not baking soda)3/4 cup of whole milk1/4 cup of Faya 5% yogurt1 large egg (one site suggested 1 egg + 2 egg whites?)2 Tbs of oil (I used pure soybean) real butter or corn oil?1 tsp real vanilla1 Tbs sugar (perhaps less if you will use syrup on these) I don't.Be sure to let the batter rest for 15-20 minutes before baking and don't over mix it.Mixture should bubble slightly.

I have an affinity for waffles at the level with Leslie Knope. This waffle maker is consistent, easy to use, and a powerhouse. I make a lot at a time and regularly pull it out. Each time they come out great. I like the little handle instead of the longer one other waffle makers have. You can select your temperature level too. The lil pour cup is a perfect measurement tool for the right amount of batter making the drip tray irrelevant. No complaints here.

My fourth and final attempt for a good waffle. This one works perfectly. Just wish there was a beep forthcoming when the waffle was finished and not just a light that comes on. Otherwise I totally love it.

My biggest complaint about making waffles is that the batter gets all over the maker so I have to make the waffles and then spend forever cleaning the maker. This one doesn’t have many spots for the batter to slip into so it makes it easy to clean. The price was good for a large waffle maker and I’ve no had problems with heating.

This is a very nice appliance right out of the box. Attractive, easy to set up and very intuitive to use. First waffle out of the iron was a little thin because I didn't use enough batter (my fault). The rest of the batch came out golden brown and perfectly shaped. I found the waffle iron just a tiny bit on the flimsy side, but it is not intended for commercial use. It should be fine for occasional home service with just a little careful handling.

Bought this as a birthday present for my mom. Prior to this, she NEVER made waffles and now, if she’s not making them when I’m at her house, I hear about the waffles she made that day or recently. Easily clean up. Pretty big waffle. Easy to use. Doesn’t take up too much space either in the cabinet.

Super easy to setup and use. Affordable price and good quality. Makes great waffles. Second waffle we made started overflowing from sides as it cooked. First didnt do that. So we just adjusted the amount of batter instead of filling the provided cup (per instructions). Just a little less and that did the trick. Family enjoyed using this.
