So I got these a month ago (the pictures are one month’s use) for work when the bean counters in the office started cracking down on the gloves we could get. Admittedly some were quite wasteful and would throw them away every break. Mine could last me about a week, maybe.
I’m honestly more used to using THAT type of glove, so I honestly have no idea how these are supposed to hold up, truth be told. Especially given the daily use on my job.
I’m divided between saying they performed well and saying I expected at least a few months out of them.
Multiple seams are torn, there is a rip on the knuckle padding, and the areas where the sweat-wipe fabric (a noteworthy weakness and largely unnecessary feature that seems more a liability than an asset) connect to the rest of the glove are gradually ripping. I’m surprised there isn’t another leather piece in exactly that spot on the ball of the thumb, but that’s just me.
All that said, I’ve gotten no splinters from manhandling ragged pallets and my hands are none the worse for wear for all the time spent keeping out-dated machines operational.
They’re pretty comfortable aside from very noticeable seams that press against my finger tips. They fit in size L in such a way the seams are right on my fingertips, though I’d be hesitant to size down via internet order as I wear L in most gloves (though with gloves that will easily stretch, like our old work gloves, I can do M in a pinch), and this causes a slight bit of finger folding/rollback in certain cases that hampers certain detail oriented functions (including getting your fingertips under the folds in a box to rip them apart.)
So…
Maybe I’ll update when I have a better comparison.
Again, on one hand, they’ve been pretty comfortable and protective…. On the other, that’s how they look after 1 month.
