I don’t believe there’s anything about this water bottle that I dislike or even marginally like. It is very easy to clean, since the straw just slides out, and you can wash it independently of the bottle. The bottle is tough, probably made out of polycarbonate. I’m not sure about that. The screw lid definitely is some type of silicone rubber. I’m not very easy on things like this, but I almost think it’s indestructible during normal every day rough tough use

Terrible packaging glue - don't waste your money

Functional bottles sure , decent price as well . Problem is so much packaging glue & glue from random stickers all over these . Not easy at all to get off , have washed mine several times & still got sticky spots on them . Because they're plastic not advised to use heavy degreasing chemicals on them. Would not recommend these , if you're looking for a plastic bottle - just get a Nalgene .

I love this water bottle. I had been lugging around a 64oz bottle that could barely fit in the side pockets of my backpack, and while it was nice to have during 12 hour shifts, I got sick of it.

I got the purple bottle with the chug lid. The color is beautiful, the design of the bottle is very cute and elegant, and the actual hole you drink from is much more desireable to me than the straws/nips a lot of bottles use nowadays. Even though it is only 32oz, I find that I don't mind refilling it once a day to get in my 64oz. I actually prefer it to a 64oz bottle, since I know I'll be getting fresh, cool water after the first fill runs out.

I've seen some comment that you can't actually "chug" with this bottle...well, of course you can't! The bottle isn't the thin, bendable plastic that you get with the water bottles from the store...it's sturdy!! And while you can't "chug," you can most certainly get some big gulps in! I'm not a slow water drinker. I don't want tiny sips, I want to get that +64oz in! This bottle is definitely good for that. You can easily get 4oz, and even more, in a single gulp. Haha, I even did it now, just to be sure...

I really love this thing. It is exactly what I was looking for, and the price is great. The lid is also very easy to open and close, but still very sturdy and secure. It also seems quite easy to clean, though I haven't had to do so just yet.

For those who have seen mold growth on their water bottles...you must wash these things at LEAST once a week, if not more often, especially if you wear anything on your lips like chapstick, lipstick, etc. Even the slight bit of backwash from out filthy human mouths is enough to contaminate the insides of the bottle. If you live in a warmer climate, this is especially true and will result in the bacteria from your backwash contaminating the bottle resulting in the growth of things like mold. It has happened to me before and I was absolutely mortified. Another reason I prefer chug lids as opposed to straws...the things are a hell of a lot easier to clean. No hidden crevices harboring disgusting human bacteria...lol.

I definitely recommend this water bottle for those of you looking to increase your intake. Very pretty, convenient, and simple to clean with the chug lid.

Durable and easy to clean

My second grader has been using these for a year and a half now. She takes it everywhere; school, classes, traveling, and even on her bike when playing with her neighborhood gang.

This review is specifically geared to this use case. Pros and cons below.

Pros:
1. The 18oz size is perfect to last through the school day and extended care, without being too big/bulky.
2. The bottle is very light. After trying other kid's bottles with silicone sleeves, double walls, sophisticated lids, etc. that add weight, this was a relief.
3. The bottle and lid are very easy to clean. There aren't any nooks and crannies that you would find with the auto seal bottles. There's no straw (we use the chug version). There's no abundance of those rubber/silicone parts that seem commonplace on children's bottles, but are also mold-magnets. The only soft part of the bottle that needs extra attention to prevent mold is where the flip lid seals against the chug opening. This area is very small so I don't mind the extra scrubbing. It also washes well in the dishwasher, but it's quick enough to wash by hand that I usually end up doing that.
4. The bottle is very durable. Kids drop things. A lot. My daughter's dropped it countless times but you'd be none the wiser. We've used Nalgene bottles made of Tritan for a few years now so we're aware of how tough the material is, but it's still impressive. I expected the finger loop to rip off within a few months given how much it's used, but it seems to be holding up just fine.
5. It has never leaked. I see reviews complaining of leaking with sparkling water, but I think that's to be expected with carbonated beverages and flip-style lids. We only use it with water and we've never had a leak.
6. The flip cover protects the entire area where one's mouth can come in contact with the bottle. While there are other bottles that do this too, this is the simplest, lightest and easiest-to-clean flip-cover bottle I've seen.

Cons:
1. The bottle has an Achilles heel; the flip cover hinge. When the flip cover is fully closed, the bottle is ultra durable. But when it's open, you have all that leverage from the flip cover holding on by a thin strip of plastic. The hinge is certainly durable enough when the flip cover is used as intended, i.e. only open it to drink water and close it when you're done. But what invariably happens? You've just washed the bottle and set it out to dry, with the lid off and flip cover open. Your daughter later comes to get her bottle in a hurry to catch the bus, and she fills the bottle, and then starts screwing the lid on with the flip cover still open. Her hand naturally uses the open flip cover as extra leverage to screw the lid closed tighter, without thinking about it, and..... snap. The hinge breaks. It happened only once and she's been careful to close the flip cover before screwing/unscrewing the lid ever since we got a replacement, but she's a more cautious kid than me. If I was filling the thing everyday, it would break at least once a month.
2. The lip in front of the flip cover that is used to pry it open is very small and not very ergonomic. I'm glad it's not a push button given the cleaning troubles they pose, and I'm also glad the flip cover doesn't open every time the bottle is dropped, but they could conceivably have designed this to make the flip cover a little easier to open. We got this bottle when my daughter was 6 and she's had no trouble using the flip cover, but I suspect it would have been hard to open when she was 4.

Overall, it's a keeper and I highly recommend it.

EDIT: After about 9 months of daily use, the flip top cap was no longer as secure and would open more easily. Led to some spills in my bag.

This is the best value water bottle on the market. I drink a lot of water so I have tried several types of water bottles over the years and I think this is finally the winner.

Best qualities of Pogo Tritan Water Bottle 32 oz (tl;dr lol)
- Inexpensive
- Large size options
- Straw! (also has option without a straw)
- Does not leak when tipped over
- Straw is covered, not exposed
- Easy to clean

This review may seem excessive, but no joke this has been like a 5 year journey to find the perfect water bottle so here are my honest thoughts... I will compare the Pogo to all the other water bottles I have tried. I tried all of the most popular brands but the Pogo wins! (Also I will never buy a HydroFlask, too expensive for something I will probably misplace).

Nalgene Wide Mouth Tritan 32 oz. (difficult to drink from, but good quality)
- I originally purchased the Nalgene for its size, as I wanted a larger water bottle. But the Nalgene wide mouth is difficult to drink from while mobile, and I would usually spill on myself if I tried to drink from it while walking (you could buy a splash guard but that seems excessive). There is a narrow mouth option, but I imagine its a bit difficult to clean out.
- The Pogo water bottle is great because it comes in large sizes, and it has the straw which is easier to drink from while mobile. The straw helps encourage me to drink more water throughout the day!

Contigo Autospout Straw Ashland, 24 oz. (leaks, is small, but has a built in carabiner)
- The Contigo was the first water bottle with a straw that I used and in general I liked it a lot. I noticed that I drank much more water with the straw. But that thing leaked so much if it wasn't upright. Which is fine if you leave it on a table all day (unlikely), but otherwise it was a recipe for disaster as soon as you threw it in your bag. Additionally, this water bottle was only 24 oz. They have a larger size, but the design is weird in my opinion. I do really like that there is a built in carabiner for this water bottle.
- The Pogo water bottle has a straw but does not leak because of the lid that covers the straw. And the Pogo comes in 32 oz. and also 40 oz. which is great for people who want to store more water!

CamelBak Eddy 32 oz. (unsanitary, difficult to clean, breaks easily)
- I knew that I would hate the Camelbak, but I thought I'd join the bandwagon since I saw so many people use it. It was a good size (32 oz.), and had a straw which I knew was what I wanted. But the bite valve mechanism took a long time to get used to. It's not like a normal straw where you can easily drink from. It is very firm when you first buy it and you have to bite surprisingly hard (eventually the silicone gets softer and its easier to drink from). The straw is also constantly exposed which is incredibly unsanitary (I knew this would bother me but I bought it any way). The straw part because it's not really a straw and has a closed end, is very difficult to clean out. I had a straw brush and it would not get the mold out. And then worst of all, the locking mechanism for the straw just stopped working after only a few months of use! So the straw just stayed up constantly, which made it even more unsanitary as it would often brush up against things in my backpack. This was for sure the worst water bottle I have owned, I don't understand why so many people use this water bottle.
- The Pogo has a lid that covers the straw which is perfect to keep it clean. And the straw is a normal straw, very easy to drink from and very easy to clean.

I got these for a long flight to Europe. They are just what I was looking for. Light weight, and simple to use and clean. Leak free as long as the cap is closed. They will leak at the tiny air hole, but they do not leak through the straw if tipped over. Great for kids and adults.

Almost threw them out -- then learned how to get rid of black mold stains

These bottles are the perfect size and weight for me. Unfortunately, despite frequent cleaning and opening them up to dry, they developed black mold stains on the silicone seals. I noticed some reviewers have this problem but many don't. (It could be due to living in a humid climate.) Regardless, it's infuriating. I was ready to throw these away, but fortunately I was able to find a fix.
After trying numerous stain removers (e.g., vinegar, lemon, peroxide, baking soda), a 1:1 solution of bleach and water did the trick!
Mix 1 part water with 1 part bleach, pour into the cap, let it soak for a few hours, and then scrub. I used a small brush to get some of the stain loosened, then rubbed gently with a blunted toothpick to get the remainder out. If any stain remains, repeat the process. Finish with soap and water, then rinse thoroughly to make sure no bleach remains.

Chug lid could be better

I wanted a water bottle for cold water, plastic but sturdy, dishwasher safe, and this one fits the bill nicely. I use it in the bathroom as an overnight water bottle that I also use for taking pills in the morning. The problem for me is the chug lid. It does not pour smoothly, but glugs enough that I can’t use it for pills without spilling it all over myself. The lid has no vent for easing the flow of the water…this is why it not supposed to leak for those carrying it in a backpack.

It is important to take pills with a full glass of water, which I think should be at least half this 18oz bottle, maybe more, so I needed to remove the chug lid and drink my water that way. As a fix, I tried drilling a very small hole in the lid, the smallest drill bit that I had, and this solved my problem. My water bottle is no longer leak proof, but I don’t carry it around in a backpack and I don’t need to remove the lid to take a big drink of water either.
