3.0 out of 5 starsUnreliable

It works as though it costs less than $30 (I have the Bluetooth version, not WiFi)
Me:
Middle age, low activity level, wanted to lose weight and track my progress as well. After getting my weight stable, I wanted to check my weight every 4-5 days.
Good:
Easy to set up
Blends with most decor
Accurate out of the box, and measurements don't "drift" when taken back-to-back
Bad:
Doesn't always transmit measurements over bluetooth
Using in a multi-person house is clumsy at best
What I expected:
A scale I can step on, it immediately measures, it syncs to my health apps (I have both Samsung and Google). It should recharge with no more than 2 months between charges. It must support multiple people's profiles. It must be accurate to my actual weight (I'm okay with +/- two lbs), and have accurate back-to-back measurements (take 3 measurements in 5 minutes, they should be identical).
What I got:
It mostly fits my expectations, but the user experience hasn't been kind.
It worked "great" when I got it, but now it's not syncing my measurements on each weight-in. Yes, my phone is on, app is active, and... it occasionally works. It will go days without syncing, then all of a sudden ask me to match 5-6 measurements to a person. When you've just toweled off after a shower, you'd probably rather get dressed than stand around your bathroom in your birthday suit fiddling with an app!
Multi-user isn't automatic. My boyfriend is a foot taller and 50 pounds heavier - you'd think the app would know my weight doesn't fluctuate 50lbs a day rather than asking me "who is this?" When he's gone for a few days, the scale will still ask me to sync my own weights to my profile despite them all being "the same."
Battery is great! I would have preferred USB-C for the charging port but... under $30 is under $30. Haven't had to recharge in 2 months (specifically, since I bought it).
The app - not so great. It has too many bugs, and the UI is clumsy. I sync my weight data with my fitness apps, so they give me better charts and metrics than the Renfo app does. Unfortunately the syncing issues get in the way of me using the other apps!
I plan on gifting this scale to someone and moving to a scale that is Wi-fi connected, supports multi-person households seamlessly, and syncs on every single use. I may be paying 3x the price, but I'd rather cut my teeth on a sub-$30 scale while figuring out exactly what it is I need!
It has some flaws, but it is accurate, relatively easy to use, and definitely worth the price when looking for a starter smart scale. If you'd think of the scale as a student, it is in the 7th grade and not in AP classes, but gets decent grades.
