2.0 out of 5 starsAt my wits' end!
Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2024
I have ordered the product before with little to no problems, but this time takes the cake.
1) Amazon (Shipper and Seller) AND bears mentioning:
I received four dented bottles out of the eight ordered. I had Amazon "customer support" call me, as this qualifies as a "No Return" item due to Hazmat reasons AND they are seller/shipper on this, to reiterate.
In regards to a refund or replacement, they are being utterly impossible, as far as I am concerned. When any company/platform puts my veracity of events into question, I become outraged.
Everybody wanting photos for proof.
Nope...NOT having it!
I was also fed repeated lines about abnormal activity on my account and insinuations of fraud.
AS IF!!! What temerity and lies!
"Customer Service", on this order, ➡ nonexistent.
🤦
2) germ-x® ➡ germ•x®
Another company on my excrement list. There is a toll-free number on the bottle. I am getting the impression, even during business hours, one is required to leave a message and await a response from them = phone tag.
What is the point of having a toll-free number, if there
isn't someone to answer the phone? I will provide an update on this, if I miraculously reach someone when I call. + If you go on their "Swiss Cheese"/anemic website, the contact number there will be a toll call (for me, anyway), and there is no option to e-mail/message them about anything.
Not a way to run a business. Simply not.
The big issue here: ALL eight bottles have varying degrees of product. Not good! If I am purchasing 32oz. of something basically in liquid form, I am expecting 32oz..
When all the bottles were lined up on the kitchen counter, I did not like the appearance akin to rolling hills; some are filled much higher than others with hand sanitizer.
THIS lacks a consistency on the production line.
&
The second issue I am annoyed with is their new packaging which makes a lofty claim of "NEW LOOK! SAME FORMULA." Not exactly...germ-x® ➡ germ•x®. I have the older bottles to compare AND the second ingredient starting with carbomer is different in that it used to have the words "and/or" after it. Now, it only states "or." Tsk. Tsk.
I beg to differ...NOT the same formula.
Do not state that, if it is not true.
So, I have a couple of bones to pick with them. 🤷
At present, I am really irate with the lack of problem resolution to MY satisfaction.
I will see where I get with germ-x® ➡ germ•x®.
To be continued...
UPDATE (6/11/24)
1) I ultimately reached someone at Vi-Jon, LLC (took several attempts, as they are working out the kinks). I was on the phone with their c.s. rep. for a time. Long story short and after reading codes off of bottles (a bottle from an order placed in Jan./2024 and a bottle from the May/2024 order), she confirmed the formula HAS changed. So, the new labeling appears to be an untruth. & The Amazon listing is still reflecting the older formula. NOT GOOD! 🤦
2) I was given the option to return the dented bottles/lesser-filled bottles for reimbursement in the form of a money order. While I am awaiting the return label, it is providing me time to decide whether I want to even jump through hoops for a partial refund in that format (I don't appreciate doing that for problem resolution. Amazon is making me jump through hoops, too, should I choose their route instead.). I have been buying these off of Amazon because finding larger sizes of hand sanitizer at the local pharmacies is proving to be challenging/difficult. There is the price point to consider as well.
Dented bottles aside and taking into account the new formula, if it isn't broken...don't fix it, Vi-Jon. (as the expression goes)
What to do...what to do.
