I really love this bag for many reasons, but it is honestly SO uncomfortable to carry while walking - either by hand, by long strap over the shoulder / crossbody, or over the shoulder via the too-short handles, which will have your arm/elbow jutting out of your body awkwardly; and if in that position long enough - quite painfully. It also bumps into my legs when I carry it by hand and walking - a recipe for tripping over! Mind you, I was only testing the bag out in my bedroom. For reference, I am a small wonder at 5’1 :)
I bought this for travel purposes, and of course, I wouldn’t be carrying a few things only. Given the reasonable weight of my stuff, this would be difficult to lug around; and if you’re having to go on foot with it for a prolonged period of time, I imagine it would be exhausting. So, I plan to use this when I know I’m landing in a pretty easy destination with a straightforward and comfortable travel setup, and I can just keep the bag on top of my carry-on roller luggage most of the time. I just hope I don’t get separated from my roller carry-on.
I actually filed for a return but I realised I had cut the tag off already, and because I thought the bag would still be useful anyway for hauling things. I honestly love the cushy, smooshy material used and the organisation features - it is a very cleverly and thoughtfully constructed bag (except for the matter of comfort). I think it is casually cool and rather pretty, and the size and capacity are perfect. I also love, love, love the chunky zipper.
Comfort is so important to me, and this is one big thing this bag doesn’t provide. But it absolutely shines in everything else that matters to me in a lightweight personal item bag. For that, I find it hard to part with it! Add to that, the price point is awesome. I got mine on sale for USD26, with free shipping.
UPDATE: I ended up giving this bag to my sister, who likes duffel bags and who happened to love this bag. There was really no way I’d be comfortable using this bag, however much I love everything else about it.
