Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsNice light output, terrible buttons

The good -- this light has great output both in terms of lumens and candela. It carries really well, nice and flat. The little OLED display is a nice touch. All of this is nicely covered in other reviews.
The bad -- this light has terrible button ergonomics. Half presses vs full presses are unnecessarily complex. Someone put a bit of thought into giving the light an "all the lumens" momentary switch, but it requires a half-press to give steady light. If you mash it all the way, you put the light in party mode, and the strobe is super annoying. Holding it in an icepick grip, you have to orient the light one way or the other to have the light be able to reach either the raised on/off/intensity button or the "all the lumens/strobe" momentary switch. Unfortunately, the position of the clip and how I carry it means my thumb only reaches the on/off button.
The on/off/intensity button is finicky as well -- a full press is supposed to turn the light on, but doesn't seem to do that consistently. Sometimes you want a half-press and do a full press, other times you want a full press and do a half-press. If you have time to fiddle with buttons in a leisurely manner, it's a nice little light. In a situation where there's a "what the hell is that over there?" situation, you're likely to get undesired results.
The light is also a little too long. Held in an icepick grip with the thumb able to reach the on/off/intensity button, about one inch of the light protrudes out of my hand. Not a problem normally, but if you're using this light in combination with operating a semiautomatic handgun and you have a malfunction of the gun (as happens more often if you shoot it one-handed), that extra inch will cover the ejection port on the slide, complicating malfunction clearances.
Ultimately, for me, this is not an EDC light. The terrible switchology puts it out of the running for something I may have to use under stress or out of surprise.
