Blazing fast for a college student

Although the use case for my needs isn't allot,I am still super impressed with the performance of this laptop. Coming from an Intel mbp with butterfly keyboard, Intel chip, this machine blows it out of the water. It's extremely quick, and smooth. Keyboard feedback is great. Plenty of RAM although it's overkill for my needs. For stem major student that opens up Microsoft suite of programs and plenty of tabs of your browser(chrome/safari), I recommend saving some money and getting 18 gb of RAM for cheaper. Unless you are video/photo editing, I didn't see the need for the extra RAM. Plenty of people preach about getting more RAM but I believe that from experience I would have been fine with 18gb as well.

The screen is huge and makes laptop heavier and less portable. Something to consider if portability is a requirement. Luckily I study mainly at home and don't bring laptop to class that often. Yes it's bulky and heavy. Speakers are impressive though and makes movie watching a great experience.

(Space Black) Weird residue on laptop, doesn't feel solid

Laptop was new, box never opened, and when I took the laptop out there were small bits of glue or something on the body. Not a big deal but when I used a damp microfiber cloth to wipe the outside it revealed a TON of residue leftover from tape or something, probably during the assembly process.

Handling the laptop it didn't feel as solid as my old MBP M1 Pro. For example, tapping on the palm rest or back of the unit made a vibrating noise. My MBP M1, for comparison, was always a solid 'thunk' except in the very center of the bottom (by the logo).

I was surprised by the build quality, it didn't feel up to Apple's usual standard. I'm returning mine and trying my luck on a second order.

Good Dude

Not bad but not worth the money!

I would say the biggest positive point of this machine is the quality of the screen. Other than that, I don't think it is worth. @ months after purchase, price have drop around 300$. I should have bought the 13 inch for half the price!
