Ohhh Drake. You. never. cease. to. entertain. us. Despite the release of a new Star Wars trailer and the fact that his home country was in the final hour of a momentous federal election last night, Drake still managed to absolutely transfix the world with his new music video for "Hotline Bling".
In particular, the internet has been captivated by the Toronto rapper's unique dance moves. They're sort of one part Bollywood wedding, one part "Elaine" dance and one part old man at his first salsa dancing lesson who's only got, like, 5-10 good minutes on his bum knee.
To explain it even more clearly, some words you would not use to describe Drake dancing in the "Hotline Bling" video: nimble, coordinated, deliberate, precise.
And yet, somehow, it's not... bad. It's somewhat reminiscent of this:
Would either of them make it through to the next round on So You Think You Can Dance? Probably not. But still, the confidence with which they perform these loose, minimalist, seemingly unplanned dance moves is kind of mesmerizing... Or maybe we've all lost our minds. I don't know.
