So I reached Chapter 4 but my controller was straight up unusable due to various keys like L1, R1 and L being stuck down eternally. Will just start and stream a fresh playthrough in a few months

I played this game when it first came out, and I didn't get it. Then I played it after I started college and was severely depressed, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I will NEVER 100% this game, because it is bone crunchingly difficult to do so and I have things to do, but playing through the story is perfect enough for me.
