Another solid fighter by Arksys. I first played this before I played Persona 4 so the characters were lost on me. After I beat P4G and I could enjoy the game so much more. This carries the "strong single player" flag from Blazblue but if you don't have experiences with the characters, it falls a bit flat. Which is unfortunate since this such a quality game, gameplay wise. Worth a play if you like fighting games or if you like Persona and are on the fence about fighting games. It's made for you.(Until it isn't with the alternative modes but shhhh)
Fuck yeah it's Guilty....Blazblue!! We didn't really have Guilty Gear this gen for some reason but Arksys basically just remade it but different, I guess. This was my first Blazblue game and I loved it! This was the first fighting game to get me to care about the story. The single player content was leagues above other games, the English VAs were stellar. STUNNINGLY GOOD OST. Instant kill moves that felt like they were designed by Cyber Connect. And gorgeous graphics. My friend group couldn't get into it unfortunately but I fell into it hard because of it's robust single player. Jin the best! I'm not skilled enough to play Bang or Hakumen even though they are so cool, Did I mention the character designs and move sets are cool and unique? I wish I could 100% but online trophies suck. I'm an unapologetic Arksys fan. They seriously don't miss.
