About the Author

Lillian M. Henry, nee Hooper, mother of five and grandmother of ten, turns her attention in this, her third novel, to her paternal ancestors. Her fathers photo album and a hidden away diary of her grandmothers prompted her, at the urging of a young cousin, to recreate the lives of her grandparents and great grandparents in this fictionalized biography of those two families who personify the troubled times we call The Victorian Era.

Her first two novels chronicled the lives of her husbands fathers family beginning with the American Revolutionary War and followed them through their pioneering escapades in Vermont and upstate New York during the late 1700s and early 1800s. All three books provide insights into the manner is which historical events impact ordinary citizens.

Lillian is currently at work on her fourth book, the continuing account of William Joseph Lyne and Mary Ann Lewis Hooper as they leave all they have known and proceed to put down roots in America. She resides in both Pennsylvania and Florida with her husband.
