Catalans Dragons' Micky McIlorum has signed a one-year deal to join Hull Kingston Rovers next season.

The vastly experienced hooker will leave the French side and return to his native Yorkshire at the age of 37.

McIlorum won two Grand Finals and two Challenge Cups with Wigan Warriors and helped Catalans to their Challenge Cup win in 2018.

He has represented both Ireland and England at international level, and in 2021 was named in the England squad for the World Cup, nine years after his previous cap.

"Micky has played at the highest level and won competitions with Wigan and knows what it takes to be a seasoned pro," head coach Willie Peters told the Hull KR club website.

"What Micky does when he’s on the field and the way he plays says a lot about what he does off the field away from the game and the work he puts in."
