Ayesha Curry Involved in Dispute with Paris Authorities While Attempting to Leave the Olympic Grounds

The incident took place after the USA men’s basketball team won the gold medal in the finals at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Ayesha Curry and her mother-in-law, Sonya, reportedly had a run-in with Paris police over the weekend as they tried to leave the Olympic grounds.

A video making the rounds online shows the "Ayesha's Homemade" host visibly distressed while her mother-in-law speaks with police officers on the street. The officers were allegedly blocking the family from getting back to their car.

The incident took place on Saturday (Aug. 10) following her husband, Steph Curry's gold medal performance in the men's basketball final at the 2024 Olympic Games in France.

Details of the confrontation are still unclear, but amidst the chaos, Sonya can be heard yelling that someone had "touched the baby" and demanding to be allowed to return to their vehicle.

Sonya is heard telling the police, “It’s right there, where all those people are on that side, we were over there. They won’t let us go back over there where we came from. They won’t let the driver come here and they won’t let us go back over there.”

Golden State Warrior star Draymond Green is also seen in the clip asking the authorities, “So even after him hitting the baby in the head, there’s still nothing ya’ll can do to get them out of here?”

It is also noted that French President Emmanuel Macron was exiting the Olympic grounds at the same time as the Currys, which might have contributed to the delay.
