Justice is being served for deceased rapper Chinx, real name Lionel Pickens Jr., and his family as the rapper's gunmen have finally been sentenced. 

Back in 2017, the two suspects Jamar Hill and Quincy Homere were arrested in connection to the rapper’s 2015 murder case while already serving jail time for unrelated charges. 

On Monday (August 14), Homere, who plead guilty to the murder, was sentenced to 23 years for his involvement. 

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the sentencing in a statement, “Homere fired numerous rounds into Pickens’ car while he was stopped at a red light in Briarwood and then fled, leaving the young man for dead. Nothing can undo what happened, but I hope today’s sentence brings some solace to Pickens’ loved ones as they continue to grieve.” 

Hill’s sentencing is still pending at this time. According to close sources, it was said that Homere was “envious” of Chinx. 

Pickens' widow, Janelli Caceres, shared her thoughts on seeing her husband’s murderers in an interview with Lisa Evers last month. 

"It was pretty emotional,” Caceres recalled. 

“I literally cried the whole time sitting there, actually staring at him, because there's so many different thoughts and words are running through your head, and you know you have to keep your composure,"
