This hotel is so well placed for transport links and visiting the major tourist attractions. Its outlook isn't particularly attractive but in all other respects the hotel is perfectly placed for sightseeing.
Staff were very helpful and willing to provide detailed directions and suggest venues to visit.
Breakfast included a good variety of hot and cold foods. I reckon most people could find something to their liking.

The hotel was very beautiful, the room was spacious and clean, having breakfast in the New York Cafe was really special. The location was a little far from the river but the fact that the Hop on Hop off bus stopped right outside the hotel was a real bonus, we were able to visit all the major sites with no trouble at all. The highlight for us was relaxing in the Poet Bar after a day of sightseeing and having Mark the bartender mix us one of his perfect cocktails, he is a real asset to the hotel, he has a real passion for the job he does and it shows with his friendly greeting as you walk into the bar and he is very knowledgeable about all cocktails. Thank you Mark you made our stay very memorable.

my experience was not up to expectations. The air conditioning was barely working, which made my stay quite uncomfortable, especially during the hotter parts of the day. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing; it didn't feel well-maintained or properly cleaned. Overall, I expected a more comfortable and pleasant stay, and I hope these issues are addressed in the future to improve the guest experience

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.

Budapest would have to be one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. It is best explored on foot and public transport. If you take the Tram numbers 4 or 6, you will see a lot of the city. Take your time to go up to the castle and sit in a cafe.

after visiting Bratislava,Bucarest, Sofia and Nis, my son told me to visit Budapest because it is his favorit city...and I understand him now: very neat city with tons of eating/drinking possibilities. The prices are almost at west-European standard... but with 30M visitors per year, it is pretty normal. I only had 1 evening to stay, so too short.
One thing that was a disappointment was that I was 10 minutes too late to get a parking ticket and got a fine instead.

Two days are enough to explore Budapest.
Two days are enough to explore Budapest. A word of caution regarding public transport: beware of fines. When we boarded a bus and explained to the driver that we couldn't buy tickets (because there is no machine and no wi-fi), he allowed us to proceed. However, when inspectors arrived, they issued us a hefty fine despite our explanations and the driver’s consent. After researching online, we discovered this is a common tactic—a tourist trap seemingly designed to generate revenue through fines! We reported this incident to BKK Budapest, but received no satisfactory response.
Budapest is not a city I’d visit again. If you're undecided, I’d recommend exploring another European city. Budapest lacks the charm that many other European cities offer. The only worthwhile museum is the Museum of Fine Arts; I wouldn’t recommend the others. We visited Matthias Church, but found the ticket price excessively high and wouldn’t recommend it. The outdoor baths are overcrowded and fall short on hygiene. The streets are filled with beggars and homeless people, which makes me question how Budapest is considered one of Europe’s safest cities.

The city is nice and worth visiting once in a lifetime.
The city is nice and worth visiting once in a lifetime. People are very grumpy though and surprisingly no English writings even in most tourist places that was disappointing. Very little English speaking people in general do it could be difficult to be a tourist
We very much enjoyed staying with Metropolis Budapest. The room was great with beautiful wallpaper and nice decorations. Everything we needed was there. The staff were kind and very helpful. The location was also great - close to ruin bars and great restaurants. The walking distance from the hotel to the city centre was also fine - about 15-20 min. All in all we were very pleased with Metropolis and will recommend this nice hotel to other visitors in Budapest.
A nice hotel in the Gozsdu Court passage in the city centre. There was a spring festival during our stay in the Gozsdu Court. One could buy different handcraft, records, handmade jewelry, magnets, etc. In the passage, there are several cafes/bars and night clubs.
Our two-floor apartment was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped.
The stuff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We liked our weekend in Budapest.
I travelled with my bestie to Budapest and stayed 3 nights here. The apartment was spotless and Saza was a great host who gave us a wine gift upon our arrival. We arrived in budapest around 7am and got the room earlier before the check in time without any additional charges. The location was perfect as it is walking distance to the main tourist spots and city centre. You will never go wrong with this nice homey place. Thank you so much!
super location, tram, bus to airport & city Centre, and to almost all the places of Budapest, was just down the building. Hotel was perfect with spacious rooms, good green view, comfortable beds and nice coffee selection. great restaurant down the Hotel
Classy hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. TV with Netflix. Very good location, close to the airport bus terminus and a lot of City centre attractions.
