It is a beautiful city but buildings seems like old and without the proper maintenance. It is not a generalization, but there are many places that need to refresh paining, and thinks like that. The weather is good, even in summer. People effort in making them understand, in english, spanish and so on.

You have to be fit to walk the hills of Lisbon! The cobbled stone streets and pavements are beautiful! Comfy walking shoes are a must. The small cafes are wonderful. The city center has many busy restaurants for tourists; venture away to find other wonderful eateries. Once familiar with the city it's easy to get around, walking, taxi, ride apps, trams and buses. Nice city with lot of possibilities to do. With the public transport are accessible almost all the attractions: Belem tower and monastery (it’s enough to visit the church only – free), football stadium, Oceanarium, Castle (by bus), cathedral etc.. Restaurants on the main street are expensive, but good (reviews on the social media are correct and to be checked). Fado museum was very good experience and listening on the street perfect add on.

Lisbon is a magical city, filled with incredibly friendly people who are always smiling. The food quality is outstanding, even in the more touristy areas. The weather in August is fantastic, making it an ideal summer destination. I loved everything about this enchanting city, and Lisbon will now be my go-to summer vacation spot every year. It was summer, it was hot, it was very crowded, many tuk tuks, many bars open at all hours everywhere...where is the old Lisbon gone? It's a bit if a Disneyland now. The tuk tuks are a real nuisance honestly, they are electric but clog every street to a stand still so if you are walking it is not very pleasant in heavily popular areas to visit....You have to hunt out the quiet corners and neighborhoods if you have the time, I know people who have and love it there...I only had 3 days so I just wandered, looked at shops, visited the central train station area, picked one of the seven hills to see the view at sunset, attended a wonderfully intimate Fado concert and ate good seafood, drank lovely wine and that was it. (it should be stated that those experiences I mentioned here you can get in many areas of Portugal without the crowds, or go off season!) oh, and Uber, Lift o Bolt are your friends if you are exhausted from climbing all those steep roads up and down...they are reliable and not expensive.KarinSwitzerland - Scored 1010
