Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The sewage system which may be an overall Greece issue. The number of air fresheners throughout the reception and hallways was noticeable to try to mitigate the smell of faulty sewage!

The breakfast was ok and the rooftop was only available to the dream suite now every resident.
The location was right in Plaka which was the better part of Athens. We walked everywhere we went whether it be restaurants/shops or historical sites. The owner owns the gelato shop downstairs and is very helpful for recommendations. 10/10 hospitality

There was no iron or ironing board available in the room but after asking staff, I was given an iron straight away.
The location right in the heart of Plaka was great and the breakfast which is included in the room charge, there was a great selection.

Loved everything about this hotel! The most helpful and amazing staff. Assisted us with everything - ferry bookings, transfers, recommendations for sight seeing. The best location. 5 minutes from the Acropolis. Room is immaculate. Very comfortable. Breakfast is great as well! We would definitely stay here again!

Honestly can’t think of anything apart from maybe having more specific details around checking in as there is no reception desk however we did have a smooth check in. We went to where breakfast is served and rang the service buzzer and a lovely lady appeared to show us to our room.
Location was perfect and within 15 minutes walk from most attractions. The area was amazing. The Acropolis was less than five minutes walk. Staff extremely attentive and we were facilitated with an extremely early check in. This made our first day as we had travelled on an overnight flight and meant we could rest before setting out on our first day of sightseeing. Property and room were spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was fine, just wish it had a queen or king size bed rather than a double bed.
Great 3 star place to stay in the heart of Plaka Athens. Everything is walking distance. Quiet part of Athens. Owner was friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast choice was wonderful but didn’t realise we could place requests for cooked items until we were finished so wish we knew to avail. There were signs so it was mostly our fault for not checking. But honestly it was a lovely stay.
The room was gorgeous with massive bathroom and mini fridge, beautiful high ceilings and the balcony was perfect for a coffee in the morning.

The breakfast just wasn’t what we expected from other reviews and the quality of the hotel. It was just okay. Seemed like a lot of store bought bulk items.
The hotel though is great! Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. You can’t beat the location.

This is our 2nd stay wonderful location ! great staff, extremely helpful and kind. specious room with great balcony over looking the street, lovely to sit with a glass of wine, nice breakfast, stuff was extremely helpful when my plans changed and I needed to stay extra 2 days. They were booked and were only able to accommodate us with an extra day , but , they looked around and found a place for us around the corner for the extra night. That was a great help ! I will definitely book this place again we would like to thank the mangers and staff

We booked the balcony suite and it was lovely sitting out there to enjoy the complimentary wine they included for us. What we also really liked was their gelato shop down below too!
