Thomas is a bit of a raw prospect after breaking out late in his LSU career in a Brian Kelly offense that asked him to mainly run two routes. He will have to develop his route tree, but his size-speed combination is undeniable and there's an opportunity for him to immediately be a mismatch the Jaguars can't help but utilize in the red zone and down the field. Thomas is one of the highest-upside picks you can make in the Rounds 9-10 range of your Fantasy drafts, and he should enter consideration in the back half of Round 1 in Dynasty rookie-only drafts.

  • Jaguars' Brian Thomas: One target from Lawrence

Thomas brought in his only target for 38 yards in Friday's 31-0 preseason win over Atlanta. Thomas played on a pair of offensive drives, both of which came with Trevor Lawrence. Though he was targeted only once, Thomas did showcase his big-play ability while making a long catch before turning up the field to pick up an additional 20 yards. He has seemingly cemented himself as a starting outside receiver opposite Gabe Davis with Christian Kirk operating primarily out of the slot heading into a Week 1 matchup against Miami.

  • Jaguars' Brian Thomas: Chunk play on one catch Saturday

Thomas secured one of two targets for 41 yards in the Jaguars' 26-13 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday night. One play after his first target from C.J. Beathard fell incomplete, Thomas and the journeyman signal-caller connected on a 41-yard completion down the left side late in the first quarter. It was an auspicious start to the rookie first-round pick's on-field NFL career, and the play offered a glimpse of the talent that could enable Thomas to eventually make a push for the Jaguars' No. 2 receiver job.
