Scott carried the ball 15 times for 68 yards and caught all three of his targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 13-12 preseason win over the Cowboys. He also returned one kickoff for 23 yards.

The veteran running back got the start for the Rams and played through the third quarter, leading the team in rushing in the process. Scott's big workload came with Kyren Williams, rookie Blake Corum and even Ronnie Rivers sitting out, however, suggesting that the former Eagle isn't headed for a significant role in the Rams backfield this season barring a rash of injuries.

Bennett played the entire game in Sunday's 13-12 preseason win over the Cowboys, completing 24 of 38 passes for 224 and a touchdown with four interceptions.

The Rams' coaching staff elected to sit both Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo (suspension) for the preseason opener, instead giving the team's 2023 fourth-round pick a full four quarters to show what he could do. Bennett, who didn't play at all in his rookie season, was predictably rusty, but the Cowboys failed to take full advantage of his turnovers and consistently settled for field goals. That left the door open for the Georgia product to engineer a scoring drive inside the final three minutes of the fourth quarter, and Bennett found depth tight end Miller Forristall for a six-yard touchdown with just four seconds left on the clock. With Garoppolo suspended for the first two games of the regular season, the Rams have plenty of incentive to get Bennett up to speed as quickly as possible, so he could see a hefty workload again Saturday against the Chargers.

Schoonmaker saw two targets but failed to catch either one in Sunday's 13-12 preseason loss to the Rams.

The second-year tight end had been dealing with a groin injury early in training camp, but he was deemed healthy enough to start Sunday while Jake Ferguson sat out the preseason opener along with the rest of the Cowboys' offensive starters. Schoonmaker didn't make any kind of impact though, letting a short pass from Trey Lance go through his hands on the team's second drive before the duo failed to connect on a deep out on the next play. Schoonmaker's status as a second-round pick in 2023 gives him the edge on winning the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, but he's struggled to stay healthy to begin his career and could face a stiff challenge in camp from John Stephens.

Brooks caught both his targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 13-12 preseason loss to the Rams.

With CeeDee Lamb still holding out and Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert both sitting this one out along with most of the Cowboys' other offensive starters, Brooks got the start at wideout and caught a 43-yard strike from Cooper Rush on the team's opening drive. The second-year wideout then hooked up with Trey Lance for a short completion on Dallas' second possession before Brooks called it a day. The South Carolina product appears to have a fairly firm hold on the No. 4 spot on the depth chart, but that job could become more interesting from a fantasy perspective if Lamb's absence extends into the regular season, or he isn't quite up to speed by Week 1.

Dowdle carried the ball three times for 14 yards in Sunday's 13-12 preseason loss to the Rams.

Ezekiel Elliott got the day off completely, while Dowdle saw only a handful of snaps on the Cowboys' opening drive before ceding the backfield to Malik Davis and other depth RBs. Dowdle and Elliott are expected to split the bulk of the touches at running back for Dallas this season, but the position is more likely to become a committee than one or the other emerging as a clear starter.

Trubisky completed 10 of 18 passes for 82 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bears, good for a 67.4 rating. He also rushed three times for 12 yards.

Trubisky is the clear No. 2 behind superstar Josh Allen, and he didn't do anything too terribly in this outing to put his spot at any risk. No. 3 quarterback Shane Buechele had a rough game with an interception and a 34.6 rating, so at this point it would be a pretty big shock to see the Bills enter the regular season with anything other than an Allen-Trubisky pecking order. Trubisky also has experience with the Bills dating back to 2021, and the Bills like that he offers a similar type of big-bodied player with an ability to run should anything happen to The Franchise.

Lance completed 25 of 41 passes for 188 yards in Sunday's 13-12 preseason loss to the Rams. He added 44 rushing yards on six carries.

Cooper Rush got the start for Dallas in the team's preseason debut but saw only one series before handing the reins to Lance, who played the rest of the game. The 24-year-old quarterback flashed the physical ability that made him the third overall pick in the 2021 Draft, escaping pressure with his legs and showing off his arm strength, and his numbers were impacted by some drops by the second-team receiving options he was working with. Lance also had some accuracy issues of his own though, and he failed to get the ball into the end zone despite multiple trips inside the 20, forcing the Cowboys to settle for four Brandon Aubrey field goals. This performance likely wasn't enough to push the former 49er ahead of Rush in the battle to be the primary backup to Dak Prescott, but Lance will likely get another chance in Saturday's preseason clash with the Raiders.

Miller (hamstring) did not play in Saturday's 16-14 preseason win against Arizona.

Miller has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in New Orleans' first training camp practice July 24th. The 2023 third-round pick dealt with numerous injuries during his rookie campaign, limiting him to 41 carries and 10 receptions across just eight regular-season appearances. When healthy, Miller is expected to compete with Jamaal Williams for the No.2 running back spot behind Alvin Kamara. But, Miller will have to work his way back onto the playing field in order to unseat Williams in the depth chart. He'll look to get healthy in time for next Sunday's road exhibition against the 49ers.

Williams (shoulder) played 10 offensive snaps during Friday's 20-12 preseason loss to the Texans.

Williams suffered an AC sprain during practice in late July, but he was available for the Steelers' first preseason matchup. He wasn't targeted in the loss but will have two more opportunities during the preseason to make a case for a roster spot.

Prescott (ankle) said Sunday that he expects to be back out on the practice field at the Cowboys' next session Tuesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Prescott was unavailable for the team's 13-12 loss to the Rams in their preseason opener Sunday as a result of ankle soreness. It's unclear whether the quarterback would've played in the contest anyway, but it's a positive turn of events that he'll be able to return to practice right away.
