  • Phillies' Aaron Nola: Turns in quality start

Nola allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out nine over six innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Sunday.

For the second time in three starts, Nola faced Atlanta and allowed two runs. He gave up a solo home run to Michael Harris in the third inning and another run on a fielder's choice in the fourth. Nola has quality starts in three of his last four outings and now sports a 3.29 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 162:43 K:BB through 172.1 innings over 28 starts this year. He's projected to make his next start at Miami in a favorable matchup.

  • Phillies' Aaron Nola: Fires seven scoreless in win

Nola (12-6) earned the win against the Astros on Tuesday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out six over seven scoreless innings.

Nola worked around some early traffic but grew stronger as the game progressed, retiring the final nine batters he faced to earn his first win since July 11. The 31-year-old generated 14 swinging strikes on 102 pitches and has now yielded just two earned runs across 19 innings in his past three outings. On the season, he owns a 3.30 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 153:42 K:BB across 166.1 innings and currently lines up to face Atlanta on Sunday night.

  • Phillies' Aaron Nola: Decent in no-decision

Nola allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Wednesday.

Nola gave up a two-run home run to Orlando Arcia, which was all Atlanta managed to put on the board. Nola's been in a bit of a rut, issuing multiple walks in five of his last six outings. In that span, he's allowed 13 runs (12 earned) over 34.2 innings, but he's now gone seven starts without a win. The right-hander is at a 3.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 147:41 K:BB through 159.1 innings across 26 starts this season. Nola's next start is projected to be at home versus the Astros.

  • Phillies' Aaron Nola: Denied 12th win

Nola came away with a no-decision in Friday's 3-2 win over the Nationals, allowing seven hits and two walks over 6.2 scoreless innings. He struck out four.

The veteran righty got stronger as the game wore on and didn't let a runner get past second base after the first inning, and Nola left the mound after 111 pitches (74 strikes) with the Phillies out front 2-0. He had to settle for his 16th quality start of the season when Carlos Estevez blew the save in the ninth, however. Nola has gone six straight starts without getting into the win column, and his strikeouts have dried up at the same time. During that stretch, he's posted a 3.67 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 26:12 K:BB through 34.1 innings, and he's fanned more than four batters only once. Fatigue isn't likely to be a factor for the 31-year-old -- he's topped 200 innings three times in his career, and has tossed only 154 so far in 2024 -- but the Phillies may look to work some extra rest into his schedule given their comfortable lead in the NL East. Nola is currently scheduled to make his next outing on the road next week in Atlanta.

  • Phillies' Aaron Nola: Yields two homers in loss

Nola (11-6) allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Diamondbacks.

Nola yielded multiple homers for the sixth time this season and has now given up nine long balls over his last eight starts. He's lost his last two outings and hasn't won in five starts, giving up 15 runs (14 earned) over 27.2 innings in the longer span. For the season, Nola has pitched to a 3.60 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 138:37 K:BB through 147.1 innings over 24 starts. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Nationals.

  • Phillies' Aaron Nola: Done in by third inning

Nola (11-5) took the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Nola was great outside of the third frame, when he allowed four runs on five hits, including a Teoscar Hernandez two-run homer. That inning was enough to send the right-hander to his first loss since June 29, as Philadelphia's offense put up just three total runs. Nola has given up four runs twice over his past four outings and has a mediocre 4.37 ERA with only one quality start during that span.
