Happ went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Pirates.
Happ hit just his second triple of the season as he continues to serve as an effective tablesetter for the Cubs. The veteran outfielder is batting a scorching .386 over his last 10 games with eight extra-base hits and 10 RBI. With a prominent spot in a productive lineup, Happ should continue to post good counting stats the rest of the way, especially if he keeps up his recent level of play.

Cubs' Ian Happ: Reaches five times in comeback win
Happ went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, two RBI and two walks in Wednesday's comeback win over the Pirates.
Happ led off the game with a double off Pirates ace Paul Skenes and later came around to score on a Cody Bellinger single. Happ helped the Cubs erase a seven-run deficit Wednesday, driving in runs in the eighth and ninth innings to propel the team to victory. The 30-year-old has enjoyed a productive August as the Cubs' leadoff man, batting .267 with six home runs, 12 RBI, 17 runs scored, eight doubles and four stolen bases in 24 games.

Cubs' Ian Happ: Reaches double figures in steals
Happ went 2-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in Monday's 18-8 win over the Pirates.
Happ somehow managed not to score despite serving as the leadoff man and reaching three times in the offensive explosion. Despite the lack of counting stats, it was still a productive night for the outfielder, as he reached 11 stolen bases on the season. Happ's career high in steals is 14, which he posted last year, and he may be able to surpass that figure yet in 2024.

Happ went 3-for-5 with two doubles and one RBI in Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Marlins.
Happ had half of the Cubs' hit and also knocked in their second run with a ninth-inning double. He's hit safely in 12 of his last 15 games, going 17-for-60 (.283) with six home runs, 10 RBI and four doubles in that span. The outfielder is up to a .234/.339/.458 slash line with 23 homers, 72 RBI, 74 runs scored, 29 doubles and nine stolen bases over 124 contests this season, though his hitting has often been streaky.

Happ launched a 413-foot leadoff home run to give the Cubs the early lead. After going just 1-for-18 to open August, the 30-year-old has gone deep five times while registering a hit in eight consecutive contests. Happ went 1-for-2 with three walks, a two-run home run and two additional runs scored in Monday's 9-8 loss to the Guardians.
Happ celebrated his 30th birthday in style as he reached the 20-homer plateau for the second straight season and third time in the last four years. The outfielder also demonstrated his good eye at the plate as he drew three walks in a game for the first time this season. Happ is now riding a four-game hitting streak as well, and he's gone deep three times during the hot streak.

Happ took the fourth pitch of the game from Garrett Crochet deep for his 19th home run of the season and second in as many games. The veteran outfielder is closing in on his second consecutive 20-homer campaign, which would be the fourth of his career. Happ's career high in home runs is the 25 he recorded back in 2021. If he keeps up his recent power surge, that figure could be in sight soon.

Happ was busy despite only recording the one hit. The veteran is up to 18 home runs this season, bringing him closer to his second straight 20-homer campaign. He also now has eight stolen bases, and he could reach double figures in that category for the second time in his career after swiping 14 bases in 2023. Happ isn't always the flashiest fantasy option, though he's been a steady performer once again in 2024, and he plays nearly every day.
