  • Dodgers' Gavin Stone: Lands on IL with shoulder injury

The Dodgers placed Stone on the 15-day injured list Friday due to right shoulder inflammation.

The Dodgers' rotation has taken another blow with Stone set to miss at least the next two weeks. The 25-year-old right-hander last pitched Saturday against the Diamondbacks, allowing five runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four across five innings in a no-decision. Stone felt discomfort after that start, and it's unclear whether he will return this season, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. For the season, Stone is 11-5 over 25 starts with a 3.53 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 116:37 K:BB across 140.1 innings. Justin Wrobleski was recalled by the Dodgers from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move, and he will likely start Saturday against the Guardians in Stone's place.

  • Dodgers' Gavin Stone: Gets through five innings

Stone allowed five runs on five hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Stone gave up four runs in the first inning and one run in the third. He left the game with the Dodgers leading 6-5, but the Diamondbacks tied it once more to deny him his 12th win of the year. Stone had allowed just two runs over 19 innings across his last three starts before Saturday's less impressive effort. He's now at a 3.53 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 116:37 K:BB through 140.1 innings over 25 starts. Stone has allowed 18 homers this year, with 12 of them coming over his last 10 starts, which remains a point of concern for the right-hander. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Guardians.

  • Dodgers' Gavin Stone: Dominant versus Rays

Stone allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven innings in Sunday's win over the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

Stone was fantastic again Sunday, blanking the Rays into the seventh before Jonny DeLuca took him deep to tie the game at 1-1. The Dodgers would eventually regain the lead in the eighth, but Stone was already out of the game. The 25-year-old right hander has been on fire over his last three starts, allowing just two runs in 19 innings while posting a 23:4 K:BB. Sunday was also the first time since late May he's been able to go back-to-back starts of at least six innings. Stone owns a 3.33 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 112:36 K:BB in 135.1 innings and lines up for a crucial start against the Diamondbacks on the road this weekend.

  • Dodgers' Gavin Stone: No trouble versus Mariners

Stone (11-5) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out 10 over seven shutout innings to earn the win Monday over the Mariners.

Stone's 10 strikeouts were a career high. He earned his second win in a row with this dominant performance, which was also the first time since his June 26 shutout against the White Sox where he didn't allowed a home run. Stone is now at a 3.44 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 105:34 K:BB through 128.1 innings over 23 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Rays.

  • Dodgers' Gavin Stone: Collects 10th win

Stone (10-5) allowed one run on three hits and struck out six without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Brewers.

Stone was sharp, throwing 61 of 86 pitches for strikes. The lone run on his line came from a William Contreras solo shot in the third inning. The long ball remains a problem for Stone -- he's allowed at least one homer in each of his last seven starts, and this was just the third time in that span he's been able to complete five innings. He's now at a 3.63 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 95:32 K:BB through 121.1 innings over 22 starts this season. Stone's next start is projected to be at St. Louis.

  • Dodgers' Gavin Stone: Can't get through five frames

Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

After surrendering a leadoff homer to Kyle Schwarber to open the contest, Stone managed to keep the Phillies off the scoreboard over the next three innings. However, the right-hander began to struggle in the fifth, giving up hits to two of the first three batters he faced before eventually being relieved by Alex Vesia with two outs in the frame. It marked the second start in a row in which Stone was unable to make it through five innings, and he's now surrendered at least three runs in three straight outings. Stone has also coughed up at least one home run in six consecutive starts, posting a 19:7 K:BB over that stretch.
