Man travels from Indiana to sell motorcycle but has it stolen by prospective buyer
An Indiana man said July 16 that he drove into the city to sell a Harley Davidson motorcycle to a man, who took it for a test ride and never returned. He said that he had been communicating with the suspect on Facebook Marketplace and through text messages. When he arrived, he met the man in front of a home on Clinton Avenue and together they unloaded the bike from his truck before the man departed with it.

A caller reported July 15 that there was a dog being neglected at a residence that was kept in a cage for days at a time and had previously gotten lost. Officers responded to the home, where they located a woman holding the poodle. She said that she was out for a walk when she heard and saw the dog scratching its way under a fence. She said she entered the backyard and retrieved it because she believed it was going to get under the fence and run away.

South Euclid City Council passed legislation Monday to regulate short-term home rentals. Council President Ruth Gray said the action came after a rented Parkside Boulevard home last year "created havoc" for the neighborhood.

Man and woman skip the test drive and steal two vehicles from South Euclid used auto business

An employee said that a man and woman were asking about vehicles and the woman left in one while he was preparing paperwork for a test drive. The man said she had gone to get her driver’s license and when he was asked for his, he provided one that did not belong to him. He then walked away and drove off in the other vehicle.
