The three-star recruit is the third lineman the Buckeyes have added to their 2020 class, along with Paris Johnson Jr. and Luke Wypler. Ohio State currently has 12 offensive linemen on its roster with another currently committed in the class of 2019 in Doug Nester of Spring Valley High School (WV). Nester was the only member of the 2019 class to not sign during the early signing period following the retirement of Urban Meyer. Nester decided not to send in his letter of intent after Urban Meyer stepped down as OSU head coach, but still may sign before the February signing period is over.
Ohio State’s 2020 class now has seven commitments and currently sits at third in the country and first in the Big Ten, according to 247sports.com. James and Johnson are the only two in-state commitments.
