Matt Ortile

Matt Ortile is an associate editor and a columnist at Condé Nast Traveler. He is the author of the essay collection The Groom Will Keep His Name, published in 2020, and has taught nonfiction writing at PEN America, the Asian American Writers' Workshop, and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. Prior to joining Traveler, he was the executive editor of Catapult magazine and the founding editor of BuzzFeed Philippines. He has written for Esquire, Vogue, Afar, and BuzzFeed News, among others. He lives in New York.
