There is no more important part of our democracy than the right to vote.

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 finally provided universal suffrage to all eligible citizens. Unfortunately, several recent Supreme Court decisions have dismantled major parts of the Voting Rights Act, which has led to various states enacting laws that diminish that universal right.
