We are seeking college graduates from Ivy League and other top-tier universities who can lead and grow a team of 6-10 full-time tutors and teach all sections of the SAT and ACT. This Director of Tutoring position reports to the Managing Director of the client services team and is a full-time and remote job. The salary and compensation package is very competitive. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Ivy League or other top-tier university.
  • 2-3 years of previous management experience, leading a team of 5+ direct reports.
  • Proven experience in teaching and tutoring, preferably in SAT and ACT exam preparation.
  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve their best.
  • Strong knowledge of SAT and ACT subjects, test-taking strategies, and scoring patterns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt teaching techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to assess performance and identify actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage schedules and tutor assignments effectively.
  • Remote work experience or the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.

Client-facing responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for tutoring inquiries for all Command Education students.
  • Communicate progress reports and updates with parents for your students and track client-facing progress for your team.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledge of all students on the tutoring roster and be responsible for creating, planning, and organizing a master schedule of tutoring clients to maximize internal resources.
  • Strategize and plan the testing timeline for all students on the tutoring roster. Strategic thinking is essential to meet the needs of the students, schedule ideal testing dates, and plan the team workload.
  • Spearhead collaboration initiatives across the mentoring and tutoring teams. Co-create frameworks with mentoring team leaders, and drive mentor-tutor meetings to align on student goals.
  • Meet with team leads and management weekly, to provide updates on tutoring students.
  • Meet with senior tutors in 1-hour weekly 1:1 meetings and additional meetings as necessary to provide teaching support.
  • Organize and lead monthly professional development sessions for the tutoring team giving feedback and supporting skills development.
  • Take and analyze new SAT and ACT exams as they are released.
  • Create and update shared content by adapting curriculum outlines to changes in standardized tests, putting together a new curriculum for the digital SAT, and preparing problem sets and other homework assignments.
  • Lead hiring efforts for your tutoring department, review resumes and conduct a 3-round interview process for each candidate.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new tutors and create an initial 4-week plan providing weekly feedback on curriculum and mock lessons.
  • Develop and lead the school partnership deliverables and tutoring program.

Compensation for this role ranges from $75,000-$95,000, including base salary and bonus

The Science Tutor position is full-time and remote. Salary and compensation package is very competitive. General job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing students’ academic strengths and weaknesses from sessions and class work
  • Developing a custom tutoring roadmap for each student
  • Conducting one-on-one lessons and study support for students taking science classes
  • Preparing study materials, review, and lessons as needed based on the student’s personal needs
  • Adapting lessons and materials based on each student’s science class curriculum, syllabus, teaching style, and grading
  • Sending follow-up notes with a summary of the session after each session

  • Minimum of 1 year of science teaching and/or tutoring experience in the following: middle school science classes, biology, chemistry, AP biology, AP chemistry, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C
    ▫︎  Plus: able to teach all sections of the SAT and ACT
