LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – On Wednesday, May 29, the Washington Commanders and Marjorie Harris, Chair of the Washington Commanders Foundation, will host a Day of Service at three locations across Washington, D.C., supporting causes such as youth sports, STEM, and education. The Foundation's three events will be joined by team President Jason Wright, Valerie Biberaj, Executive Director, Washington Commanders Foundation, as well as members of the 2024 rookie class, Washington Legends, and Commanders employees.

"The Washington Commanders Day of Service is an extension of our values as an organization and what it means to be a positive and productive member of this community," said Marjorie Harris, Chair of the Washington Commanders Foundation. "Days like today are about showing up for a community that has given so much to this franchise, while also getting a better understanding of how we as an organization can make a difference year round."

The day will begin with a Skills and Drills Youth Football Clinic at H.D. Woodson High School (Ward 7) run by Washington Legends from 9:00am to 10:30am ET. This also will be a moment for community members to meet some of their favorite Washington Legends.

This will be followed by a ceremonial unveiling of the plans for the new "Commanders Little Combine" space at the National Children's Museum. The space is designed to encourage active play for the museum's youngest visitors and will take place between 11:00am to 12:30pm ET.

The Commanders Day of Service will close with a garden build and mural painting event at Rocketship Rise Academy Public Charter School, a public charter located in Ward 8, where Marjorie will be joined by the Commanders 2024 Rookie Class for their first-ever community event appearance. This event will kick-start a larger, outdoor learning lab project aimed at supporting an emphasis on STEM learning.
