Have you checked your calendar? August 11 is rolling in, and if that date means nothing to you, then you are woefully out of the loop. That date marks the return of HBO Max’s dramatic, Gen Z darling, Industry. For some, the series fills a Succession shaped hole in the zeitgeist, for others, it's frightfully close to home. If you are the latter: step away from the computer and take a walk. Industry is a workplace drama that takes place in a prestigious London investment bank, following a cohort of recent grads beginning their careers and vying for the same jobs at the career-making company.

The series premiered on HBO in 2020 with an ensemble cast featuring such up and coming names as Marisa Abela and Myha’la Herrold. The series has been a slower burn for the legacy streamer. The first season landed with a 76 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, jumping to 96 percent in its second season, and now, at the door of season three, we’re seeing a 100 percent approval rating for the series. So if you haven’t watched Industry yet, now is clearly the time to start.

What will we see in season 3?

Season 1 introduced us to the cutthroat, drug-fueled world of finance at the fictional Pierpont & Co. Season 2 tackled the shadow of COVID-19 and its effect on the economy. Season 3 will dive deeper into the personal lives (read: personal crises) of our now beloved, albeit messy, characters. Beyond the normal, well-documented stress of the finance world, we’ve got embezzlement scandals and paparazzi presence, we’ve got prosthetic penises, and we’ve got Jon Snow. That’s right, HBO darling Kit Harington is joining Industry for its third season as Sir Henry Muck, a green energy founder taking his business public with Pierpoint.

You’re sold, we know. Let’s talk streaming schedule.
