Fronted by Emma and Matt Willis, the dating experiment gives participants the opportunity to finally find their person, going on blind dates in pods to try and form an emotional connection without ever seeing each other. All 11 episodes of the first series are now streaming, as viewers finally see who made it all the way from pods to wedding days.

It's safe to say one person who has made an impression is Freddie, who formed a connection with Catherine and made it down the aisle with her, and has been a fan favourite since day one. But, who is he?

What is Freddie's background?

Freddie has a sister and a brother, who's got Downs Syndrome, and was brought up by his mum. Family is clearly super important to him, and he's very protective of his brother. He loves going to the gym (sometimes two times a day) and says he empathy is what helps him be good at his job.

Netflix described him as: "Gym-loving Freddie was brought up by his mum and is very close to his brother Jack who has Down’s syndrome. He says the empathy their bond has instilled in him has helped in his career as a funeral director. A romantic at heart, Freddie doesn’t like being single and is hoping to find someone he can buy flowers for, take to dinner and travel the world with."

What happens with Freddie on Love Is Blind UK?

Freddie forms a connection with Catherine, aka Cat, early on in the pods, but she also forms a connection with Ollie. The pair bond over their family, with Catherine telling Freddie she was adopted, and Freddie sharing how importance his brother is to him.

They eventually get engaged, and head on honeymoon to Corfu. While things are looking good for the pair on honeymoon, cracks begin to show when Freddie admits that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend, getting Cat's back up.

He then expressed his concerns over whether their lifestyle align, considering the fact Cat likes going out for dinners and brunches, insinuating it's often to expensive places that he's never heard of. The pair then clash over the fact he wants a pre-nup before they get married, to protect his assets for his family, something Cat sees as doubt about their relationship.

*Spoilers* As viewers of the final episodes of Love Is Blind UK will know, Freddie eventually says 'I do not' on their wedding day, and the pair don't get married. "This isn't a goodbye and it's not a rejection of the love that we share," he told her at the time. "Part of me wanted to say yes and embark on this journey with you, but as I look into your eyes, I know that I'm faced with a truth that we both have to acknowledge. There's still mountains left for us to climb and lessons for us to learn before fully embracing a lifelong commitment. And I do love you Cat, but I need to be honest for both of us."

Are Freddie and Catherine still together now?

It's hard to know for sure - at the end of their wedding episode it felt like they wanted to make it work as a couple without being married, but there aren't any give away signs on their social media.

They are both active on Instagram and follow lots of their fellow contestants, but not one another, and haven't interacted on social media with each other at all.

Guess we'll have to wait for the reunion to find out!

Love Is Blind UK episodes 1 - 11 are now streaming on Netflix.
