It’s hard to believe that Reformation dresses haven’t been around forever. The LA-based brand has come a long way since its founder began selling clothing from a stall back in 2009, and now it’s a firm celeb favourite and go-to for fashion sets globally.

Known for its signature bias-cut fits, flirty florals and impressive eco credentials (the brand was one of the first to start tracking its environmental footprint), Reformation has well and truly earned its status as the cool-girl label to know. And Ref continues to up its game. Not only did the label start offering extended sizing for all our plus size gals back in 2018, but Reformation has seriously upped the ante again with ‘magic’ changing rooms in store – complete with customisable lighting, music and a handy touch screen as your own personal shopping assistant, these babies are basically Cher from Clueless’ closet brought to life.

If you’re already well-acquainted with Ref, you’ll know the brand’s pieces are kinda spenny, which is why we literally lose our minds every time Reformation’s thrice-yearly sale (that’s summer, Black Friday/Cyber Monday and winter, fyi) comes around. So, if you can’t wait to get your hands on a bargain (we really don’t blame you), skip straight to our Reformation dresses sale edit.

SHOP REFORMATION SALE NOW

And while it’s Reformation dresses that have really captured our hearts as of late, the 30% off sale applies to all ready-to-wear. Yep, that includes the Agathea Chunky Loafer and Lolita Platform Loafer, worn by Taylor Swift, as well as the Kourtney Dress our favourite friend Jen An rocked on the red carpet recently. Reformation’s Sora Linen Dress – a summer favourite of A-listers Emma Roberts and Olivia Rodrigo – has gone straight to the top of our last-minute holiday wardrobe wish-list, too. Or, if you’re just totally over summer dressing, you can get ready for cosy szn by investing in Selena Gomez’s fave Jadey Cashmere Oversized V-Neck Sweater, and save some serious £££ in the process.

If you’re new to the brand and don’t know where to start, however – don’t fret, we’ve got you. Although denim and activewear have recently captured our hearts, dresses are what Reformation does best.

Don’t believe us? Just look at the brand’s huge celeb fan base. EmRata was spotted in Ref’s new Liana dress, while SJP gave her seal of approval to the brand’s Little House on The Prairie inspired Chaylyn style – oh how we love a boho look!

But the list doesn’t end there: JLo rocked the Tagliatelle design as part of her honeymoon wardrobe and Hailey Bieber wowed in the It Ref summer dress last year.

With such an impressive A-list clientele it is unsurprising so many of us are out here searching for Reformation dresses – no joke, this year alone there have been nearly 10k searches for the frocks online. And at Cosmo, we’ve been constantly checking our TikTok feed to see real people in the styles. Don’t get us wrong, we love the beautiful, leggy models Ref has, but have often contemplated (especially us petite ladies) if we could pull off the iconic maxi styles.

In the same boat? We have tried and tested some of Ref’s bestselling dresses alongside some of our favourite designs to give you the real verdict on which Reformation dresses are really worth the money.

Yep, that includes bestselling styles, too. Run, don't walk, ladies.

Reformation’s new Ibiza Collection

The UK’s summer so far has been a lil’ bit lacklustre, which has left us dreaming of summery escapes and racing to check out the latest airline deals. In case, we needed any more persuasion that Ibiza is always a good idea, Reformation has just launched a killer collection celebrating everything we love about the sunny island. Expect shimmering sequins, louche knitted dresses to throw over bikinis and a gorgeous colour palette inspired by the shades of the Med.

PS. Although some of the designs look kinda out there (we’re looking at you plunging necklines), when we recently took to store to try, we were pleasantly surprised by how these dresses fell super effortlessly across the body. And when you’re on holiday all casual dressing rules go out the window, right?

Cosmo’s all-time fave Reformation dresses

When testing the brand, we loved how many of Reformation’s dresses were adjustable – with smocked backs, tie-bow straps and clever wrap designs. And while Ref is known for its maxi styles, it was the minis that really stole our hearts.

The sweetheart neckline on this Bryson style is just TDF.
