Don’t hate me, but I actually very rarely buy things on Amazon. But, I guess 2024 is the year to change things, as this Prime Day has brought with it some seriously insane deals, I literally could not resist. In particular, the sale on shiny jewellery...
The thing is, in a one bedroom flat there is just not enough space for all my stuff – robo vacuums would not deal with the Victorian wooden floor boards, and sadly there is no counter space left for an air fryer *sob*. Plus, my makeup stash is already overflowing (although if anyone asks I have no idea how two of these best-selling mascaras magically appeared in my cart...).
So, maybe I was exaggerating when I said I never bought anything, but what I’m saying is a deal has to be pretty good for me to part with my hard earned dolla. In fact, you could say it has to be golden...
Yep, I’m a sucker for gold snake chains. To the point that I don’t recall a time I didn’t have one swinging round my neck. Call it a nervous twitch, but if I get to the office and I don’t have a lil’ necklace I can fiddle with nervously as I read over work, I genuinely have a bad day.
To make this drama-queen’s life easier, I have learnt to basically never take my chains off – not to shower, go to the gym or sleep in (sorry to any fine jewellery brands reading this, I know that’s not the done thing!). I also like to stock up on the thin, slender necklace I really like when it’s on sale for Amazon Prime Day, which luckily enough folks, it is right now.

As a fashion writer, I feel very complete and put-together rocking a great pair of jeans, a white tee and cool gold chain, but also love how this jewellery piece looks with holiday looks. Best believe I will be wearing mine with big hold hoops at the beach club, and not giving it a second thought when I jump in the ocean wearing my jewels.
