No plastic cups? No bottle opener? No glass allowed? No problem. We don’t doubt that some wine connoisseurs would say canned wine compromises on quality, but now there's a lot of high-quality canned wine on the market, and the convenient cans are a lot more environmentally friendly. And while we also appreciate that canned wine isn’t necessarily intended to be whipped out at the extravagant dinner party you’ve been planning for the past six months, when it comes to al fresco fun, picnics, BBQs, and for when you only fancy just the one drink, they’re ideal. With that in mind, here’s our round-up of the best canned wines around, from sparkling whites to refreshing rosé.
