Bursting into bloom in July, these gorgeously ruffled, bright coral pink flowers, each have a fine picotee margin, and a matching flush of strawberry red towards their beaming yellow-green throat. How to care for Hemerocallis Strawberry Candy:
Plant crowns at 60cm intervals in a sunny spot, making sure that their roots are firmed in, but their crowns are above soil level - then water well. Apply a generous 5-7cm deep mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown), and once the plant has started to bloom, deadhead faded flowers regularly to encourage more to form. Lift and divide every three years in spring.

This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
