Marili Vaca graduated RIT in 2022 with a BFA in Photojournalism and minor in Journalism. She started at the Democrat and Chronicle in 2020 as one of the Revisiting the Rochester Narrative Fellows highlighting Rochester's black and brown communities and how past decisions have effected generational wealth through different mediums. She is currently the Social Media Storyteller creating original content highlighting Rochester's rich community. Marili is proud of her Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian heritage and enjoys talking about her dog, Kobe.
